On a perfect morning for football Nidd turned in a robust performance against a strong Poole team currently in the top 3 in the league. Basic errors lead to Nidd going 2 nil down in an even game but just before half time Plant pinched a goal, 2-1. Nidd came out strongly and within 5 mins of the re-start the scores were level. Shortly afterward Nidd took the lead with the game swinging half to half.

In a scrappy exchange Poole equalised and then quickly took the lead again.

The team were playing well when Joe Axe went in to a heavy challenge and landed in pain. The ambulance was called out and the match had a 30 min stoppage.

After the stoppage Nidd resumed the stronger team and 6 minutes in to the re-start Plant broke through the Poole defence only to be bumbled over, penalty.

Webster slotted home a very confident penalty, 4-4 and that's how it stayed.

A very good performance setting the pace for the last 4 matches of the season

We are pleased to report that Joe has not broken any bones but suffered serious soft tissue injury. We hope to have in back to fitness before the end of the season.
